THE CAKE ESCAPE is a virtual band consisting of five animated members. Under the motto “Diversity.Equality.Unity.”, they stand for equal rights and equality with feminist and anti-racist lyrics. The drawn characters merge with reality in the live-action animation and invite you – with humor and charm – to sing and dance. In the city of Graz, they set an example against discrimination with murals and dance performances in public spaces. The project was initiated by Yue-Shin Lin in 2021.
