Info and facts:
- HanamiCon, an anime and manga convention, was held for the first time in 2017 and has grown steadily ever since.
- Sub-events such as the Cosplayball and the Host Club were the first of their kind in Austria and were very well received by the public.
Number of visitors:
- 2023: 7000 visitors
- 2022: 6000 visitors
- 2021: 4000 visitors
- 2020: Cancellation due to corona
- 2019: 3000 visitors
- 2018: 2500 visitors
- 2017: 2000 visitors
Target group:
- Our target group is mainly teenagers and young adults, but the scene has developed in recent years to include older visitors. We therefore have an average age of around 14 to 30 years.
- While a large proportion of our visitors come from Graz and the surrounding area, we also have a significant number of Austria-wide visitors, especially from Vienna & Linz, as well as cross-border visitors through our marketing in Slovenia.
