Leslie Isabel Patriarchi, also known as Luce Cosplay, has been cosplaying since 2008 and makes her own costumes, weapons and accessories. She has a degree in fashion and costume design and is an experienced seamstress and costume designer with over ten years of professional experience. In total, she has designed and worn over 80 cosplay costumes, including outfits for competitions, events and photo shoots. She also produces commissioned work for clients in Italy and internationally, always placing the highest value on quality.
Her passion, which later became her profession, began over 13 years ago with her first role as Tifa Lockhart. Since then, with each new cosplay, Luce has worked to improve in all areas – from tailoring to propmaking to wig styling – to achieve the most faithful result possible. She has been taking part in the most important competitions since 2012 and won Best Female at her first individual competition at Comicon in Naples. This victory also qualified her for the ICC (Italian Cosplay Competition), where the best Italian cosplayers compete against each other.
Since then, Luce has had numerous successes in Italian competitions. Among the most important are second place in the ECG qualifications in Lucca, second place in the EuroCosplay qualifications at Romics, first place in the Clara Cow Cosplay Cup qualifications and selection among the 20 best cosplayers worldwide at Gamers Without Borders. In addition, she has won numerous awards such as Best Female, Best Costume and many other prizes at competitions throughout Italy.
Her cosplays became known worldwide and attracted the interest of numerous companies, events and video game studios. For example, her cosplay of Eliza from Tekken 7 by Namco Bandai was shared on all official channels worldwide. She also participated in the Frankfurt Fan Festival in collaboration with Square Enix with her cosplays of Gentiana (Final Fantasy XV) and Shiva (Final Fantasy XIV). During the pandemic, she has worked on major collaborations, including with Gamigo Group, for whom she designed an Izanami cosplay and served as a judge for an online contest.
In 2022, Luce worked for Amazon Prime Video as the official host of all activities during Lucca Comics & Games together with the actors of “The Rings of Power” as well as for Toei Animation at the premiere of “One Piece Red” as Boa Hancock.
In 2023, Luce was selected for the M.A.G.I.C. cosplay competition. In June, she also worked as the official cosplayer of Jill Warrick for the launch of Final Fantasy XVI, organized by Epicos and Plaion.
Thanks to her international network, Luce is committed to connecting the various cosplay communities worldwide. To this end, she initiates new competitions such as the Tournament of Champions (ToC) to promote Italian talent in Europe and worldwide.
Currently, Luce is actively working with Legacy Distribution as a content creator and official cosplayer of Liliana for Magic: The Gathering Arena, collaborating with Wizards of the Coast and many other partners. She has been cosplaying full-time for several years and is a regular guest and jury member at international events. There she organizes panels and workshops, moderates and judges competitions and meets her numerous fans – a total of around 360,000 followers on Facebook and Instagram.
Among the international events where Luce has been invited as a guest are: Brussel Comic Con, Austria Comic Con, Akumakon (Ireland), Magnificon & Pyrkon (Poland), Nice Geek Expo (France), Yunicon (Austria), Y-con & ComicSalon (Slovakia), Mondocon & Budapest Comic Con (Hungary), Mangafest (Spain), LaMole (Mexico), Insomnia Gaming Festival (England) and Made in Asia (Belgium).
She has also been represented at all the major Italian events, including Napoli Comicon, Romics, Lucca Comics & Games, Cartoomics, Etnacomics and many other smaller conventions.
