Immerse yourself in the impressive world of Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and ink painting
(Sumi-e) and learn how to create artistic characters and simple floral motifs with
brush and ink.
The workshop begins with a brief introduction to the history and significance of
Japanese calligraphy. You will then learn the basics of the technique,
including the correct brush position, the guide and the most important strokes and shapes.
Under the guidance of a trained calligraphy teacher, you will practise prepared
characters and flowers in various styles.
