Welcome to the 2026 Hanamicon drawing competition!
Once again this year, we would like to invite you to take part in the Hanamicon drawing competition. This time the theme is: Street party 🥳
Food and drink stalls, fun games, street performers and much more! Can you show how your characters get dressed up, have fun with candy floss and duck pulling or stroll around in the evening under lantern light? No matter whether it’s a Japanese matsuri, Aufsteirern or a neighborhood festival – as long as the theme is picked up somehow, you can let your imagination run wild! Fan art or original motifs are all allowed, there are no limits to your creativity!
We are looking forward to your contributions and to a colorful variety of ideas and styles! Whether you work digitally or traditionally is entirely up to you, but please bear in mind the conditions of participation below.
Conditions of participation:
- Resolution: 300dpi
- Format: A4 – A3
- Only one entry per participant
- Only unpublished works
- Images created with AI or copied works are excluded from the competition! As there have been an increasing number of entries that were created (partially or completely) with AI or it was not entirely clear whether the image was created entirely by the artists themselves, we recommend that you take photos or, even better, record videos during your work. In case of uncertainty, we reserve the right to ask for intermediate steps or similar.
Prices:
- Place 1-3 non-cash prizes
- The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on Saturday and the prizes presented there. If you are unable to attend the award ceremony, please provide your contact details at the information stand.

- To participate, fill out the form below by May 30, 2026, if you do not receive a registration confirmation write us an email to zeichnen@hayuko.at
- Please name the file according to the following scheme artist_last_name_first_name.jpg e.g. Künstlermann_Mustermann_Max.jpg , so that we can assign it to your e-mail address.
