Do you enjoy being on stage and have you always wanted to wow the audience with your performance?

Your cosplay isn’t complete if you can’t make an incredible appearance in it? Is performing just in your blood? Then this competition is perfect for you!

The Cosplay Performance Contest is all about your performance. Of course, a cosplay is a must. The costume is not judged in this competition. Instead, the rating is based on how your cosplay moves during the performance and how well you can interact with it.

Rules:

The jury evaluates the performance according to authenticity, entertainment value, originality or recognition value and realization.
If you would like to submit an audio file, please bear in mind that it must be shortened in advance to the length of your performance, or to the maximum length of 3 minutes (max. 5 minutes for groups of 2-3 people). All common formats, such as mp3, flac, or m4a, with a maximum file size of 5MB, are permitted. Audio files that exceed the permitted length by more than 5 seconds will be rejected together with the registration!
If you would like to submit a video file, this must also be cut to the permitted length of 3 minutes or 5 minutes. Please remember to include the audio in your video. Allowed file formats are mp4, mpg/mpeg, avi or WMV. Please include a link to a cloud from which the file can be downloaded, e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive. Make sure that the file is set to public so that we can see it. Cloud shares that expire after a certain time, e.g. WeTransfer, are prohibited. If the file is not visible or exceeds the permitted length by more than 5 seconds, it will be rejected together with the registration!
Only ONE FILE (audio OR video) is allowed. If several files are provided, the application will be rejected!
During the stage presentation, no visitors may be endangered by the costume, the launching of objects or other dangerous actions that could lead to injury.
Please keep your performance adult-free (no depiction of violence or pornographic content). Please make sure that your costumes fit well.
Use shorts/safety pants to avoid wardrobe mishaps. The costume and the stage presentation must not exceed FSK 16.
Weapons that do not comply with the weapons or house rules and have been marked as such by security are only permitted for the duration of the performance and must be handed in at the checkroom for the rest of the time.
The use of liquids on the stage is prohibited.
An additional helper may be used on the stage.
Own characters (OCs) are allowed.
Start numbers will be allocated in the order in which registrations are received.
The winnerswill be announced in the course of the award ceremony on Sunday, June 7, 2026. By participating in the Cosplay Performance of HanamiCon 2026, participants The dedicated team also agreed to be filmed and photographed.
A cosplay is a prerequisite, but it does not have to be homemade.
All types of performance are permitted – whether dance, monologue, dialog, etc.
IMPORTANT! Maximum file size for the audio file is 5 MB, maximum email size 25 MB!
Depending on the number of registrations, we reserve the right to make a “first come, first serve” selection. Once the maximum number of participants has been reached, all further registrations will be placed on the waiting list. Moves can be made up in the event of cancellations. On-site participation at short notice is not possible.
